Interactive Installation - in collaboration with the Coast Guard and City Lifeguards
Horizon. A city with a museum and a seaside, offers horizon - a space for breathing and inspiration.
Tel Aviv's coastline stretches for about 14 kilometers, where 66 lifeguards dedicate their lives to the sea and the safety of swimmers. Many of them grew up by the sea, some are second or even third generation to the rescue forces.
"lifeguard station" is a participatory art project that was created and developed over many months in collaboration between Tel Aviv-Jaffa lifeguards and the artist Mor Leedor. The artwork places the lifeguard  station in an urban-museum space, as an interactive installation through which lifeguards engage with the public. The gaze of the lifeguards becomes part of the artistic process, welcoming passersby at the lifeguard station for conversation and sharing the wisdom of the sea.

The project premiered as part of the opening events of the City Museum Tel Aviv-Yafo in 2024.
