In its 123 years of operation, the Lendner bakery and the family home above it became an iconic Jerusalemite landmark thanks to the famous challahs, the oven that served the community for Shabbat’s kugel and cholent pots, and the welcoming spirit of the family. In 2019, the unique oven broke down and the family had to close the bakery. Theatre maker Mor Leedor, a member of the Lendner family, invites the public to visit the legendary bakery before it closes forever. In an audio tour of the neighborhood, the family home, and of course – the bakery, she brings the sounds, spirit and warmth of the oven and the community formed around it back to life.
